Dubai Royal Family visits British Consulate and offers condolences over Queen Elizabeth’s death – Reuters

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Airline and Group, and Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Culture and Arts Authority of Dubai, today visited the British Consulate in Dubai; they offered their condolences on the occasion of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

They were received by Simon Penney, UK Trade Commissioner for the Middle East and Consul General to Dubai and the Northern Emirates. A number of ministers, heads of government entities, members of the Dubai Executive Council, chief executives and members of the Federal National Council also offered their condolences.

Writing in the Consulate Book of Condolences for Queen Elizabeth II, Their Highnesses expressed their deep condolences and sympathy to His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Royal Family and to the people of the United Kingdom. They underscored the historic ties between the UAE and the UK, as well as the leaders’ desire to further strengthen the close relationship between the two countries.
