FM Shoukry discusses bilateral relations and cooperation with his Kazakh counterpart – Foreign Affairs – Egypt

Celebrating thirty years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Shouky expressed his honor for the continued relationship between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the importance of advancing the cooperative relations between Egypt and Kazakhstan in various fields, following the phone call that took place between the presidents of the two countries in February 2022.

In February, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi discussed by telephone with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev several regional issues of common interest and ways to strengthen bilateral relations, particularly in the fields of health, agriculture, tourism and culture.

In addition, Shoukry hailed Kazakhstan’s role in the inauguration of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), which aims to form a new formula for building trust and ensuring security and stability. in Asia.

For his part, Tursunov stressed the importance his country attaches to relations with Egypt and Egypt’s central role in the region. He also reviewed preparations for the upcoming CICA summit chaired by Kazakhstan.

Tursunov invited the Arab League (AL) to act as an observer at the sixth CICA summit, to be held in Kazakhstan in October.
